May 24: We will meet at 12:45 p.m. for a 1 p.m. mission to Griffith Observatory, a “Star Trek: Voyager” filming site at 2800 E. Observatory Road, Los Angeles 90027. Admission is free, but there’s a charge for the three Samuel Oschin Planetarium shows: “Signs of Life,” “Water Is Life,” and “Centered in the Universe.” If you want to park in the lot next to the observatory, it’s best to come early. It fills up fast, and you’ll have to pay a fee. There is no cost to park along Observatory Road or in the lot at the Greek Theatre, 2700 N. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles 90027. For more information, see griffithobservatory.org or contact Dave Mason.
