Away Mission: Red Rock Canyon State Park

March 22: The USS Angeles will beam down at noon to Red Rock Canyon State Park, 37749 Abbott Drive, Cantil 93519, accessible from Highway 14. The Mojave Desert park is featured in everything from “Jurassic Park” to “Ghostbusters” and the dramatic black-and-white pilot for the original “Lost in Space” series (before the show became campy). Members going to the “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier” site on March 21 are staying overnight at a hotel of their choice in Ridgecrest, where prices range from $58 to $76.
