Health and Safety Alert

COVID-19 leads to cancellations

By Fleet Capt. Dave Mason
Until further notice, all USS Angeles activities in March and April have been canceled.
The venues hosting them are closing their doors temporarily because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Until we get word of venues reopening, we won’t hold events.
We are not asking members to host parties.
I will let you know if this changes and if we’re able to schedule activities.
The Nichelle Nichols Farewell Convention, originally set for May 1-3 in Burbank, has been rescheduled. The new dates will be announced Tuesday.
As The Doctor on “Star Trek: Voyager” would say,  be safe and healthy and keep washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. It’s better than hand sanitizers. And instead of shaking hands, do the Vulcan “Live long and prosper” salute. Nowadays, it’s the more logical way to greet people.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to closures of venues across the U.S.
