Capt. Kirk joins astrophysicist on stage

BEVERLY HILLS — The universe becomes hilarious when Capt. Kirk teams up with a renowned astrophysicist.

That’s what USS Angeles member Christopher Mulrooney learned when he saw “Star Trek” star William Shatner go on stage with astrophysicist and writer Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Their unscripted show was “The Universe is Absurd!” Christopher watched it May 20 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. The show focused on astronomy, quantum physics and personal storytelling.

Afterward, Christopher said it was very funny to see the interaction between Shatner and Tyson.
