Away mission to see the “Star Wars” movie exhibit at noon at the Reagan Library

April 13: Away mission to see the “Star Wars” movie exhibit at noon at the Reagan Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley. Props include a Landspeeder made for “Star Wars: Episode IV — New Hope” (1977). The “Star Wars” memorabilia is part of the “Defending America and The Galaxy” exhibit, which also covers the real-life technology from the Reagan administration’s Strategic Defense Initiative, nicknamed “Star Wars.” Besides seeing the exhibit, we’ll board Air Force One and see a replica of the Oval Office. In addition, a piece of the Berlin Wall, displayed at the library since the 1990s, was recently restored. Tickets cost $16 for general admission, $13 for seniors 62 and older, $9 for youth ages 11-17, and $6 for children ages 3-10. Children 2 and younger are admitted free. And parking is free.
