Marvel screening kicks off Angeles’ in-person activities

The USS Angeles is resuming in-person activities.

Here’s the schedule.

May 7: We’ll get together to see “Doctor Strange in the Multitude of Madness” at the Regal Edwards Calabasas in Calabasas. We’re going to the 6 p.m. showing,

May 14: We’re going to Bajor. The USS Angeles will meet at noon at Fern Dell picnic area at Griffith Park, toward the bottom of the road that leads to Griffith Observatory. It’s on Fern Dell Drive. We’ll walk on a trail that leads to a bridge that was featured in a Bajoran monastery on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.” Bring your own pre-cooked food. (No grilling is allowed in the park.)

June: Activities to be announced. Stay tuned.

July 9: We’ll see Natalie Portman as the new Thor in Marvel’s “Thor: Love and Thunder,” again at Regal Edwards Calabasas.

Benedict Cumberbatch is back the magical hero in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which the USS Angeles will watch May 7 at a Calabasas theater.
